Anthropocene: Trees, Lungs of the Earth
Trees are the lungs of the Earth known for their role in absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen, upon which all animals depend on for survival. They also protect against flooding and drought, stabilize soils, influence rainfall patterns, and provide a home to wildlife, plants, and people. Despite covering less than 2% of Earth’s surface, Tropical rainforests support the greatest diversity of living organisms on Earth. They house more than 50% of the plants and animals on the planet.
Reflections are used to show the direct link between trees and the lungs of our living, breathing planet.
An hour glass shape is also created emphasizing the urgency to take action.
